Well if you know me at all, you know that two of my loves have to do with anything WSU related and anything wine related. And as we’ve learned in the past (read my write-up on the Grape Cup here), when the two are combined I get pretty excited about it! I’m so happy to once again be participating in putting on the 3rd Annual Washington State University Wine Symposium. This yearly event, organized by the Alumni Association and its trusty team of volunteers (that’s me!), is a showcase for Coug owned and affiliated wineries in Washington State. Cougs love supporting other Cougs and this is a great way to discover some fantastic wines that happen to be made by fellow alumni!
This year’s event will be held Saturday, July 9th, 2011 from 6-8pm at the Columbia Tower Club in downtown Seattle. It’s simply a trifecta of amazing, with a WSU event, wine, and the best views in town. Last year’s event had five amazing Washington wineries in attendance, each of whom had a specific tie to the University. The guests at the event left eager to find their new discoveries at local wine shops and the wineries had fellow Coug support for life!
We’re very excited to be hosting even more Cougar affiliated wineries this year, with seven signed up to be in attendance, and the potential for a few more as well! I’ll wait to post the full list until they are all confirmed, but until then, just know that attendees will NOT be disappointed in the quality of the wines we’re bringing to the event this year. This event sold out last year and we’re anticipating a sell-out again, so visit the Alumni registration page and secure your tickets today! It’s not to be missed!
